Toyota Hilux has been in the markets for a long time. The model first made its debut in 1968 and has been able to establish a loyal customer base over the years. The automaker is set to launch a new 2017 Toyota Hilux meant to even reach new customers in addition to maintaining the current ones. The automaker is yet to release official details about the truck; however, through our sources we have managed to come up with the following information about its specs.

2017 Toyota Hilux Exterior ► 


For the 2017 model, the automaker has tweaked the exterior profile to make it even more aggressive but still very attractive. The body will be made from lightweight materials meaning it will have a light curb weight. The front fascia still retains the brand’s signature 3-slot grille but has been slightly altered to make it more aggressive. The grille is flanked by a sleek looking pair headlights also wisely placed to enhance its aggressiveness. The front bumper is larger to help the vehicle in off-road terrain. The bumper is integrated with more air inlets to cool its engine. At the back, the vehicle features stylish looking taillights which are mounted vertically to improve their performance. The rear bumper is large and leaves small portions of the redesigned exhaust tips below it visible. The vehicle will ride on 16, 17 or 18-inch aluminum wheels depending on the trim level. The wheels will be wrapped in performance tires.

2017 Toyota Hilux Interior ► 


On the inside, the 2017 Toyota Hilux will have a spacious cabin that can comfortably accommodate five passengers in its 2-row seating arrangement. Base models will feature quality cloth upholstery while higher trims will feature leather upholstery. The vehicle has an interactive dashboard which features a large screen at the middle along with other wisely organized attributes. Its gear knob and steering wheel are wrapped in fine leather which gives the driver a better grip. The cabin will be equipped with a host of technological features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, USB and Smartphone integration. 2017 Toyota Hilux Engine Specs ► 

In the automobile market, it is always wise to give buyers a chance to choose between different drive-trains. For 2017, Toyota has decided to offer the Hilux with a range of engines. As of now actual details are not out but three engines are probable. The first probable engine is a 2.7 L, 4-cylinder engine which is capable of producing 180 hp and 182 lb-ft of torque. The second engine being rumored is a 2.8 L diesel (Cummins) unit capable of 180 hp and 340 lb-ft of torque. For more power, the vehicle will also feature a 4.0 L, V-6 engine that comes good with 200 hp. This engine replaces the previous 3.5 L mill. The three engines will be paired to a 6-speed computerized transmission that sends power to all wheels.
