Man Shot In Head, Lays In Blood On Street Chicago

Chicago - Sept. 14, 2010 - A man was shot in the head at approximately 3:55 a.m. today in the middle of the 4600 block of N. Kenmore Avenue in Uptown, between W. Leland and W. Wilson. At least seven shots were fired, according to several 911 calls. We will have exclusive photos posted here shortly. When police and paramedics arrived they found a victim slumped in the middle of the street, bleeding heavily from his head. His hand was moving and the victim appeared to be a Black male and seemed to still be alive as paramedics wrapped his head in bandages and loaded him into an ambulance. Residents who heard the shots all said that they heard no other sounds just before of after the shooting; no voices, no footsteps, no car speeding away. As of 4:58 a.m., the victim's identity and medical condition is unknown; no suspects have been arrested. The 4600 block of N. Kenmore is in Beat 2312. Reported by Tom Mannis, Chicago News Bench
